Cannot Not Design is Nicoletta Antonopoulou and Michail Semoglou. A team of well-known left-wing activists, who talk much about politics and they, often, criticize contemporary Greek life-style. “I am bored” and “I receive bribes” were two very successful “political” campaigns that took place in 2008 and 2009 respectively.
Typically, Cannot Not Design is a typographic design bureau with a focus on pharmaceutical and publication design. It was co-founded by typographic designers Nicoletta Antonopoulou and Michail Semoglou seven years ago, in 2003.
Since 2005, Nicoletta and Michail have run CND’s tiny publishing house, which, apparently, has many fans in Greece and around the world. Their books are on sale at www.cndpublications.com.
In addition, Nicoletta teach basic typography at Applied Arts Studies and Michail gives lectures, runs numerous workshops on book design and calligraphy in various institutions around Greece and contributes articles to periodicals.

Nicoletta holds a BA in Graphic Design from the Kent Institute of Art & Design in Maidstone, UK and an MA in Typo/Graphic Studies from the London College of Printing, UK.

Michail holds a BA in Graphic Design from the Kent Institute of Art & Design in Maidstone, UK and an MA in Typeface Design from the Department of Typography & Graphic Communication at the University of Reading, UK. Michail also studied for one semester, as a Tempus student, Poster Design with Professor Władysław Pluta at the Academy of Fines Arts in Cracow, Poland. He co-founded Type Initiative with Chinese educator, type and typographic designer Keith Chi-hang Tam in 2005. He is a member of the Society of Scribes & Illuminators, the Calligraphy & Lettering Arts Society, the International Association of Master Penmen, Engrosses & Teachers of Handwriting and the Typographic Circle. Concluding, Michail works as an artistic collaborator with the Greek Font Society and Designers United in an ad hoc basis.
